About
Hello, I’m Ellie…
From my home studio on the south coast of England (on an isle in Dorset), I create artwork inspired by the awe and beauty of the natural world. My illustrations celebrate wildlife, ecology and outdoor adventure, aiming to spark joy, wonder and a deeper sense of connection with nature.
Through my tranquil, charming and uplifting style, I hope to encourage people to reconnect with nature and the outdoors. I believe this connection is vital for our wellbeing and for how we care for the planet, so I love working on projects that highlight the power, significance and beauty of the natural world.
My digital illustration style is rooted in printmaking, papercutting and collaging techniques, bringing analogue charm into a digital space. I often incorporate watercolour washes, textured lines and expressive mark-making for an authentic feel that people strongly resonate with. I gravitate towards colourful yet limited palettes, calming, flowing lines and harmonious compositions that gently guide the viewer’s eye. My keen interest in photography also shapes my compositions and visual approach.
I thrive on collaborative projects: listening closely to clients, working towards a shared goal and using my creative expertise to help communicate messages, tell stories and bring ideas to life. If you have a project that could be a good fit for my work, I’d love to hear from you. I take on freelance work, and my art is also available for licensing. Send me an email with a few project details, and we can arrange a call from there. I look forward to connecting.
